Build Your Site

Choosing the perfect template

New templates are being added to Sitebuilder to help you build a site that better suits your needs. Examine all selections to determine what is best for your office.

When choosing a template, do not worry about the default colors offered on each of the different styles. If you find one you like, then great! Just remember that any color on your whole site can be changed and customized by the Stewart Support Team.

When choosing a template, do not worry about the pictures and images loaded onto the site by default. All images can be customized to fit your particular needs.

Request an approved logo

Once you are sure about your template choice, contact the Stewart Support Team about an approved logo. We should have your logo loaded onto your site within 3 business days of the request. You can request your logo here.

Putting content onto your site

I recommend starting out with the Staff Departments and Staff members. You know your office departments and you know who works at your office.

Next, decide what menu items and submenu items you want on your navigation menu and add them using the "Category Manager".

Organize the order in which the items appear in the menu by using the "Site Map".

Start filling out the pages on your site using the edit feature in the "Site Map". If you are having problems formatting the text to look good, just contact the support team. The important part is to get text in there.

Put subtitles on each page

Instead of using an image for subtitles, write one with html. It is much easier and turns out looking very clean. HTML tutorials can be found here .

Final changes before going live

Ask the support staff to customize the color and feel of the site. This may include the way your menu works and looks, colors of different areas of your site, and even custom images that will help your customers relate to your site. You may also wish to have a flash introduction or custom order form made by the Support Team.

Demonstrations for these topics can be found on the Express Tutorials page.
